Amy Rattner

Amy Rattner began her career as a graphic designer, then discovered her love of creating fine art 16 years ago, working in watercolors, acrylic and acrylic inks. Animals have always been her passion and each piece begins with her deep admiration of the unique beauty and character of her subject. Other sources of inspiration include an animal’s spiritual or mythological role in a specific culture or ecosystem and beloved places that have shaped her artistically and personally. Her goal is to convey each animal’s spirit using a combination of expressive brush strokes, color, line, patterns, and symbols. Her work can be found in private collections across the United States and Europe and has appeared in galleries and exhibitions throughout California and in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Amy is a member of the Association of Animal Artists, Allied Artists West, American Women Artists, the Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society, Art Bias, and the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, California.
